About the event
Join Newark Pride for GAWDLY: The Legacy Brunch, an afternoon dedicated to celebrating the leaders, visionaries, and changemakers who have shaped our community. This special event honors 2026 Newark Pride Parade Grand Marshals Bishop Kevin E. Taylor, Brielle Winslow-Majette, Madeline Gale, and Reubena Spence for their extraordinary leadership and service.
We will also pay tribute to posthumous Legacy Award recipients Sha'Vi Lewis, Vanice "DJ Melodious" Palmer, Delvon Johnson, and Bernard "Bernie Lanvin" McAllister, whose legacies continue to inspire generations.
Music will be provided by DJ Unityy and DJ Mack, setting the tone for an unforgettable celebration. VIP Brunch tickets are $35 and include brunch from 1:00–3:00 PM and admission to the Day Party from 3:00–6:00 PM. Day Party-only tickets are $20.
